And he brought a  splendid team along for the ride: tenor player Eric Alexander, pianist  Xavier Davis and bassist Steve Berrios, with pianist Helen Sung, bassist  Dwayne Burno and bassist Richie Goode subbing on the Max Roach\/Abbey  Lincoln tune \u201cLonesome Lover.\u201d Nicole Guiland adds vocals to that track  and Roach\u2019s clever \u201cMendacity.\u201d My favorites: their takes on  \u201cMendacity,\u201d Horace Silver\u2019s \u201cEcaroh,\u201d Chambers\u2019 own \u201cAfreeka\u201d and  Marcus Miller\u2019s \u201cPortia,\u201d which was one of Miles Davis\u2019s finest  late-career recordings.
